Finally....

My most exciting project! Having been inspired by some of the lovely ladies on the docrafts forum and also the wonderful mini books on You Tube I decided to have a go at one myself!

With some of my birthday money I bought some Tim Holtz alcohol inks, grunge board elements, and a distress ink pad also some glimmer mist. I also used the die I had with the Bigshot I got for my birthday to make the front cover. lots of tags, distressing, embossing, ribbons, glitter, fibers, charms later this is the result:
II aim to add photos of family days out etc. I have enjoyed making this mini album and can't wait to start another!

Another Mini Book

Another day out we had during the summer holidays was to the Victorian Village at Telford. This was a return visit and another great day out! I had an "Urban Rhapsody" mini book kit from K & Co so thought I would use this with its mixed pages of card and acetate.

Added Prima flowers, lace, ribbon and a pearl to finish. Ribbon holds shut an open out page for extra photos.

Back at Last!!!

After the long 6 weeks summer holidays I have finally caught up with things and can find a little time to update my blog! Had a few craft projects on the go but everything has been made at a slower pace, as and when I could fit it in!

My daughter Sophie and I put together a mini book of a trip we had to Banham Zoo in Norfolk. I used clear CD pockets for page inserts as she loves looking through the book and wanted to protect the photos abit! We also used some patterned card and dimentional stickers that our wonderful friend Diane sent Sophie!

We managed to get some really clear cute photos of the animals! Sophie even helped take some of the photos so now I'm thinking that one of those deavy duty childrens cameras might be an idea for a christmas present!
